For our Harvest Festival, Class 2 learned about the reasons why we celebrate the Harvest, how our food is harvested, where different foods come from and why the children had brought food donations into school for the local food bank. We also touched on seasonality and how in the past, it was not as easy to find food in the winter.

As part of DT and food technology, we practised our cutting skills before tasting the delicious, fresh produce. Finally, we collaborated as a school to each sing a verse of the song, ‘A Farmer’s Life’.
