Class Three
Welcome to Class 3!
Miss Knight is the class teacher for our year 3 and 4 children.
Miss Knight is supported by Mrs Clayden, Mrs Kennerley, Mrs Bonnar and Mrs Palmer.
We are also fortunate to have Coach Adam from Tigers Trust for our PE session very Wednesday afternoon.
Trips:
In year 4 all children have the opportunity to attend a two day residential trip to the Cranedale Centre. The trip usually takes place in March and is a brilliant opportunity for children to develop social and team work skills.
Reading:
Children are expected to read aloud to an adult at least three times per week. Please sign your initials in your child’s Reading Log next to the pages read and discussed. Those who read at least three times a week will earn a house point!
Spellings:
Spellings are sent home every Friday. While there is no pressure for our informal spelling test the following Friday, regular practice really helps children feel more confident and prepared.
Times Tables:
We encourage children to spend at least 10 minutes per week on Times Table Rock Stars. Children who complete this will earn 3 marbles for their table team!
